With Sturridge now gone, are we seriously going to leave it to Solanke and Ings to be our back up strikers????

Especially with the Firmino racism stuff still unresolved. I'm no huge fan of Sturridge but I'd rather have him than not have him until the summer. Neither Ings nor Solanke have even scored a goal for us for goodness sake. It's absurd.

Edit, sorry, Ings has but not under Klopp.

Last week they announced that the Doomsday Clock moved to 2 minutes to midnight (or as close to the end of the world as is possible without it actually ending!). Most observers said this was due to a forthcoming global apocalypse, but those in the know agree that it was in response to no more incomings at Anfield before the end of the transfer window and the subsequent fall out.

Unbelievable that we started this window full of optimism.

We've signed a very good CB - seemed like a statement of intent at the time - and still managed to weaken our squad.

If they'd any sense they would have jettisoned Coutinho before announcing VVD as a modest, pointing bollard on the shore of the Ocean of Fume.

Agree completely though -  we're a worse team now than we were at the start of the month.

So by all accounts we went for lemar last summer. Now we've got the money in the bank and the interest has cooled in the target. Rinse and repeat.

These guys are just taking everyone for a ride. Money talks. If they wanted Keita in now he would be here. Same with Lemar.

They don't care in the slightest about winning.

I take it you're not convinced by the "we're sound" argument.

What's pissing me off is that all the other teams vying for the top 4 have strengthened their squad, we have weakened ours.

It's not about finding a replacement for Coutinho, it's fixing the glaring problems in the team that have been there for years and are still not being addressed in this transfer window.

Getting VVD in won't make an ounce of difference if we have no midfield to protect the defence, have goalies that would not get into any other side in the Premier League and constantly have to play full backs who don't know how to defend.

We are a decent team with a starting 11 that can be great, but can also be utter shite.

Until we get some players with backbones we will always have these utter shite games and be scrambling around for 4th spot and not any higher(as well as constantly losing our best players who want to win things).
