The first two sentences are legit. Where's the source for the second part of the quote?

@mackemcafu2 @richardajkeys Paul I have been in that situation when I have seen an incident and been told to say I haven't seen it

@lee_greenhalgh1 @FA to be Fair to the FA Lee it's not them, it comes from with in the PGMOL

The rest of it is an invention.

It must be difficult to remain impartial as a ref

Let's face it if any of us were refereeing we would be wanting to try and influence any result which would benefit LFC

With all the money in the top Leagues across Europe I've always wondered why refs aren't brought in from abroad (Europe obviously) and our top refs don't ref in Germany, spain, italy etc

To hear that they are being instructed by PGMOL is another thng altogether though

If what Halsey claims is true, then English football's disciplinary system at the highest level is a combination of the referees' governing body telling its employees to falsify their reports in order for the game's governing body to go ahead and press charges which more than 99% of the time are made to stick regardless of the validity of the accused's case.

I liked Halsey as a ref. Always thought he was fair enough not like atkinson, mason and one or two others like the twat working for sky now who you always thought were just itching to show a red card to our players while letting the oppos kick shit out of us.

He has had it in for riley in particular since he was forced out of the game and he's been quite vocal over his treatment.

when you have the people running the league saying things like this:

“It’s a double-edged sword,” Scudamore told Bloomberg. “When your most popular club isn’t doing as well, that costs you interest and audience in some places.”

That of course was about the mancs when they were struggling - so a quiet word with refs to ensure that the audiences they are worried about are happy is no shock is it.

As soon as money took over totally Premier League football stopped being a sport and became a business and with that comes the need to make masses of cash, grow the business, open up new revenue streams etc. and with that comes people behaving in a dishonest manner.

If you look at the Aguero incident last week, from the "main" camera angle, it looks like the ref is looking straight at it.

But it's easier for him to say he didn't see it and let the FA be the bad guys for banning Aguero for the Manc derby.
