Socialism or barbarism vote Labour don't be a cunt. Otherwise Mogg and Swinson will send your first-born to work up the chimney in austerity 2.0 and the sequels are always worse.

I don't mind the Independent generally but it has a piece this morning by Denis MacShane telling Corbyn to resign for the good of the party & as well as ignoring the obvious ' How is running a leadership election during a general election a good thing ? ' I am surprised that in his short biopic at the top of the piece they omit the small fact that MacShane was thrown out of the party and jailed for 6 months for forging expenses claims in 2013. Obviously an oversight.

Yeah that was great to be fair. The abuse she gets off the Tories when she speaks is horrible. Bercow had to stand up and tell them to shut the fuck up.

I'm married to a Welsh woman who's family live in Wrexham, Cardiff and Liverpool.  They are all working class ex-British Forces (Welsh Fusiliers) and are to a man/woman convinced Corbyn supports the IRA.  They would vote for Hitler before him.  And while they have all said they'd never vote Tory, I'm fairly certain a few of them would to make sure Corbyn doesn't get in, this is their hate for the man. All their mates who are also ex-forces or partners/friends of ex-forces are all massively anti-Corbyn too and will not vote for Labour despite being Labour voters for decades because he's the leader. You can argue the merit of this (daft) policy that they have, but it's happening.

It just seems to me that there is simply no chance of Labour winning with him as leader given the press propaganda against him too, so surely it's more important that Labour win with someone else as leader, as opposed to a "good performance" with Corbyn that still results in a Tory Government?

The biggest threat to not just the UK, but my country, and Europe, is a Johnson lead government for the next 5 years.  Surely everything must be done to prevent that?  And does that include getting rid of a Labour leader that's so divisive that even normal Labour voters won't touch him, such as my in-laws and their friends?
