Struggling to pay rent

The CAB has been virtually destroyed by the government's changes to Legal Aid, I'm not surprised you've not been able to get much help there, as their caseload rockets their staff have been decimated and they're simply no longer funded to give advice on things like housing, not on the scale they did in the past.

I know it's not what you want to hear mate but you may have to think about kicking your studies into touch or at least going part time to try and make up the extra scratch. I hope it doesn't come to that though.

Yeah I am out of touch with the current job market but I'd expect there are low paying warehouse work and other things for students.

I worked part time all the way through university doing a pretty intensive degree. Kept me in ale and out of debt.

Canada is doing fairly well, all things considered, and I had a fucking horrible time trying to find a decent job. I ended up doing private security, again, and I hate doing that shit. I'm far too educated to be doing it at this point...

Jobs are fucking hard to come by, and there are a lot of more experienced people looking for work. You can suggest that a 'low paying' gig might be available for a student, but it won't be full time and it'll hardly pull him out of the hole.
