Nathaniel Clyne

So ... after months of radio silence from the club about Clyne, which was very strange and probably left room for Blues to make up stories about him & drugs, today Jurgen says "Clyne is doing well."

He was giving an update on injured players, as he has many other times, but this is the first time in a few months that Clyne has even been mentioned. Maybe he's close to being back? It was in the context of like "Ragnar and Mo are back today or tomorrow from illness. Clyne is doing well."

I think we could really use him for the rest of the season. Between him replacing TAA/Gomez (who are excused for it because they're young but still between them seem to make one big error per game) and VVD coming in, our defense should be tighter than it was in the first half.

Something has definetly gone on behind the scenes regardless whether you believe the drugs story........  For a first team player to disappear from pre season to now with hardly any news or updates at all for months tells you this was more than a back problem.

A bloke in work is a senior steward at the club, so he reckons he's got the inside track on everything that goes on; because that's the way it works - "we'll keep this secret, so word doesn't get out.  We'll spread a cover story about a back injury, but we'll only tell the truth to the coaches, the medical team and the stewards."

He's a purveyor of Grade A bullshit.  I've never been more convinced that this rumour is baseless than I was when he insisted it's true.
