There's nothing suicidal about my post. Or hysterical. It's called being realistic. We have huge ground to catch BEFORE our rivals strengthened. With our recent track record in the transfer market, and the names being linked with us (I know someone's gonna jump in and say just because they papers are linking us with them, that does mean we're after them, but many said that about downing, Henderson and Adam last year) it'll be a miracle if we even keep the gap at the same distance.

 

I hope I'm proved wrong but it I'm not getting my hopes up for champions league football any time soon.

If we wait too long then all we end up with are the dross that no one else wanted. Most of the good players get snapped up very quickly. Also you want to maximise the time with the new players during pre-season to get them to gell as quickly as possible.
