Carroll Back To Newcastle!

People say dont judge him on 10-15 games, but we bought him based on 10-15 games

I think aswell as not being a good enough I get the impression he doesn't particularly want to be at Liverpool, I think hed rather just score a few goals for his hometown team and then have a few pints with his mates and thats all he wanted out of football, to give an analogy of an office job he got a promotion when he was happy where he was

I think that's nail-on-head territory.

Carroll reminds me of the bloke at school who could have been brilliant at football but really isn't that bothered other than for Newcastle. Bit like Carragher, I don't think he'd have been anything like as successful elsewhere.

But Carroll is not a shit player, that's just lazy logic.

We dragged him to Liverpool, and paid £35m to do it, it was lunacy. If Rafa did it then people would have gone ballistic.

Hopefully Carroll realises his potential with us, but it's not looking likely.

But there's no chance that Carroll can't be a decent striker in a couple of years, no?

Sound logic there Dr Soccer.

I don't think so no. Having seen Rush in his prime, watched Fowler and Owen progress and Torres do his thing I don't think Carroll will ever be good enough for us, nothing he has done to date suggests he'll be a great player for us. He has looked shit so far.

What's decent? 10-15 goals a season?

like KK said when he signed carroll he is here for 5 years not 5 months give the bloke a break he will come good

have alittle faith in the lad

I'm more concerned with how much faith the coaching staff have in him. He hasn't started many games this season and Henderson came on before him on Saturday when we needed a goal.

If we were winning games comfortably then it's no issue, but when we're missing the chances we are then that's when it becomes a big deal when we've got a £35m striker.

I hope you're very, very wrong but that would seem to sum up his mentality perfectly on what evidence we've seen so far. He looked like the happiest, most confident lad on earth for Newcastle. Bar a good 45 minutes against City last season, he's looked timid and out of his comfort zone for us.

Thing is, we've spent £35m on him so surely we should at least try a little/large partnership between him and Suarez.

Giving him twelve minutes when we're chasing a win against an inferior team is just an horrendous decision, though. Just give him a proper chance or don't play him at all.

think he needs a run of games to get him flowing id play him against WBA and a couple of games after that but if not give him a run in a couple of reserve games to me (and im no expert) he lacks game time, fitness and a few goals

or could it be the coaching staff are trying to change his game?
