If you overlook the ridiculous parts where you find yourself saying "as if they'd fucking do that" it's quite enjoyable.

 

There's loads of examples of this, but a recent one was when there was a load of zombies behind a fence. The zombies are all attracted to them and walk up to the fence, where the gang can pick them off by stabbing them in the head and therefore saving bullets and also being able to do it from the safety of being behind a fence.

 

Then all of a sudden they decide that rather than take their time and pick them all off in this manner, they should go inside the fence and start shooting them. Funny how these people who've never fired guns in their lives are now crackshots and can hit moving targets in the head whilst they themselves are running. They'd be lucky if they hit one out of every ten shots. And why would you waste bullets like that?

 

Stuff like that pisses me right off, but overall it's still decent enough and I enjoy it.

 

Speaking from recent personal experience, when there is a group of four zombies bearing down on you in a narrow smoke-filled, darkened corridor, and all your colleagues are heading in the opposite direction, you will scream like a girl and empty a pump action shotgun in the general direction of the aforementioned zombies. Took out all four of the mothers. I managed to maintain control over both bladder and bowels too - quite pleased with myself.

That WWZ trailer looks shit with the zombies swarming up walls like the infected from I am Legend on Acid. Are they like that in the book or was it a Movie Exec decision to make them more 'exciting'.

I may be being thick here but when they were at the CDC the Scientist explained that as soon as an infected person dies, the 'virus' then restarts them as a Walker. The process o being eaten by a load of zombies kills someone, the virus starts them up again. So getting blood on you won't kill you, therefore is safe.

Suspending belief to believe the situation they are put in is completely different from asking for a slight bit of consistency in what these zombies are and what causes walkers to exist.

Just finishing up on episode two and I struggle to grasp how anyone can rate this show above being decent for a proper scripted drama.

 

Yeah, I get that you can get carried away in the scrap scenes but that'll only take you so far in terms of being a boss show. The rest needs to come from the acting and writing. There is spectacularly fuck all of either generally. Once one episode ends you might as well forget most of the characters direction as it'll change during the next one. And that ain't going down the path of how actually pathetic the zombies are unless you find yourself badly outnumbered in a tight spot.

 

Yep. Its back to being this sorta level again. Some decent acting for once albeit not across the board but the direction and continuity of the series is still spectacularly bad.

The film is the complete opposite of the book, they've changed the entire plot, date it takes place and are using rage zombies instead of Romero zombies. It's going to be absolute shite.
