I was devastated over the first few weeks but things got a little easier. Same as yours, the quality of life was no longer there for her. Bereft is the right word. I’ll get another at some stage - a rescue again - but not for a while yet.

Mate I want one so badly to take to the Lakes and Scotland for when I’m walking but as you say, I’m still doing 4-8 week trips under the premise of diving and I can’t have a dog because of it. I really want a Hungarian Vizsla because those fuckers can walk for weeks, the bad, long distance walking, mu’fuckas.

Monty's now 4 months old and been with us for 2. In the last 2 weeks we've gone from 'shouty little knobhead' to 'can't imagine being without him'. The curly little leg.

I’m currently dogless and it breaks my heart. 

 

Once the divorce is finalised and the flat sell goes through and I know what I’m doing I’m going to get a Weimaraner.

Monty's nearly 6 months old now, I can't believe there was a time when we didn't have a dog. He passed his level 1 puppy class recently and looked pretty pleased with himself.
