Those were the days. I know we should'nt say it but at least they were proper fans back then, not like half the tossers who turn up anymore. If the 1985 semi finals were replicated now we'd lose loads of fucking JCL's. Rather have 30'000 proper fans from the 70's/80's than half these tossers who turn up every other week waiting to be 'entertained'.

Got to disagree there, i'd rather have these "tossers" there waiting to be entertained than a bunch of meat heads who want to kick people's heads in more than watch the footie.

No coincidence that football violence echos the state of the nation. Durings the 70'80's a lot of people vented their fustrations in differrnt ways. Fast forward to 2009 we are now in a the grips of a mini depression, high unemployment, ecenomic cris ect. Thats no excuse as a lot of these so called football fans to start behaving like anmials again. Think this could be the first of many.

I thought we now lived in a civilised world

The truth is the thugs have been priced out of the game and have to choose there games and there moments to get there glorious exposure.

Anyone see the film about Cas?

Man Utd v Lfc would be a lot worse if it wasnt so well policed

Could be right there. They don't put down their prawn sandwiches to cheer goals at Stafford bridge or old toilet never mind raise their fists. The high level of policing at prem games is a big factor also.

Not surprised one bit. Lots of people "mugging" each other off online before hand most likely. I wondered why this match wasn't on the telly anywhere but the authorities clearly knew this would happen and didn't want to embarrass english football

edit: Also, was there any actual fighting in the ground, or just pitch invasions and gesticulating?

2155: West Ham lead 2-1 against Millwall. Jack Collison's cross hits the defender's hand and Junior Stanislas slots in the penalty. The fans flood onto the pitch again - and the players are off. Horrible, horrible scenes at Upton Park. Play is suspended.

Why don't they just ban Millwall from everything?

Having now seen some footage i realise that as far as the trouble in the ground goes, it was not caused by Millwall fans. In light of this i would not like to change this opinion in the slightest.

You're right not to. They're bad influences. When I heard what was happening, I had an owerwhelming urge to headbutt a toddler.

Not a great week for West Ham

Calum Davenport almost loses a leg after 2 intruders stab both legs and ABH his mum.

Their best strikers warns he could be crippled if he doesnt retire.

Collison loses his Dad in an accident

Hooliganism returns at Upton Park

That Stanilaus prick needs a lengthy ban for his celebrations there.

Given that we're talking about Millwall, it's probably safe to assume he was on the end of some horrible abuse himself.

Granted the atmosphere would have been particularly poisonous, but I don't think he did that much - I've seen that troll Rooney being ten times more provocative on several occasions.
