Just one line in an Independent article on the Derby over the weekend in which it said that Rafa was talking about a player he'd agreed terms to sign in the summer who'd hobble straight into the first choice eleven. Anyone heard anything about this?

I would think it would be one of the players we where linked with this season

 

For the deal to be complete he would have to be

 

1) on a bosman thus able to have signed a pre contract in Jan with us

or

2)a player who had activated the buyout on his contract by informing his club he was taking the option up

or

3) A player we had taken an option on as part of a players sale to another club

 

so that would narrow it down a bit it cant be anyone who is costing a fee as such ?
