Corners

Although we were unbelievably unlucky yesterday, it has to be said that we are really shit at corners. With Hyypia and Morientes, you'd think that we could have put one decent ball in. The 2 that went out of play as well, what was that about. Gerrard's good in the air and powerful so he shouldn't be taking them. The last relly good one's that I can remember were all taken by Risse against the Hammers so maybe they should be left to him, he's never gonna score one of those volleys from the edge of the area anyway.

What really fucks me off is when we have players like Crouch, Morientes and Sami in the box and we fuck about taking short corners and don't put the ball in the box.

Agreed. Why the fuck Xabi doesn't take them all from the left and JAR from the right, I do not know. Gerrard's corners are shite. And as for hitting it straight out of play - what the fuck??? Professional footballer who can't take a corner: it's embarrassing.

Do you remember those awful 'trick' ones from last season, such as the one when Gerrard and another would play a short one, get it back and be called offside? Embarrassing and maddening. Presumably there was some sort of plan behind the ones yesterday, but the execution was pretty poor.
