The thing is, he’s likely to be the assist for a winning goal. As long as he’s on the pitch later on.

Yep. He can go to Real Madrid for £120m, wouldn't need to defend too much for two thirds of the games. The fans would absolutely slaughter him when he can't be arsed though.

 

Despite his undoubted ability, we function better tactically when he isn't playing.
