Is Pep Lijnders being groomed to be the next manager?

Doesn't the announcement say he's off with the rest of the backroom staff. That's what makes me think we have somebody and his/her* team in place.

Thinking about who is next after Klopp whilst he is still here is like having Kelly Brook and Katy Perry in your bed and thinking about going down The Croc on a Saturday night and pulling some tart from Old Swan with a smokers cough.

The Croc it is then!

I thought that but then I heard it mentioned, they start their summer transfer talk and Klopp couldn't tell new players he would be their manager so they've decided to get it in the open now.

Let’s face it, nobody is replacing Klopp.

Xabi Alonso as it stands would be my choice followed by Postecoglou. I also wouldn’t mind Ancelotti for two reasons, he’s a brilliant manager and the whites heads would fall off big time.

Anyway, not a discussion we need to have for a few years.

Famous last words.

Ljinders was in a no win situation taking over. He stays with all the old team and gets no credit if he is successful and a failure if not.

I am surprised they are all off though. Would have thought sone of them would be here. Maybe Matos etc have management offers or there is a plan for Klopp to take the German job after the Euros and sone are going with him

I highly doubt Pep Lijnders would give two shits that he wasn’t getting enough credit if he became a successful Liverpool manager. He’s Pep Lijnders not Pep Guardiola.

Looks like you finally forced him out.

I wish.

I don’t believe a word that comes out of his mouth, especially when he says he’s leaving.

This is a plot to gain even more power at the club for him. Jurgen Klopp looks after one man, and that’s Jurgen Klopp.

Some rumours going round he is off to take over Ajax in the summer

It would be a hell of an achievement and one he would need some success in after his first managerial role. I think Pep's strength is working closely with players on the training pitch but managerial roles mean that is left to others a lot more now.
