He was playing for Stoke. They had gone from signing some decent exciting players to realising they are Stoke and accepting their fate and dropping out of the league.

 

I don't mind him and if we could get him of the fee being mentioned then it's a no brained in terms of adding to the squad, something which is getting better but still needs a bit more. I would hope playing in a better team with better players and big games at Anfield, champions league wtc would be a motivation to raise his game to a more consistent level.
