We needed to re-establish ourselves as a top European club and we've taken massive strides under Klopp, other European sides, BIG European sides are starting to fear us again, no other English club has the same gravitas at present.  This current side are three games away from becoming legendary.

Made the mistake of listening to the anfield wrap talking to a journalist who follows Roma. He made it sound like Roma are brilliant and have been very unlucky in their league and their manager is a genius. Weird to be nervous about football... I just, I just want to win the European cup and be casually nonchalant about it infront of my Manc missus and her Manc family.

Two former Roma players Bruno Conti and Roberto Pruzzo acting like 11 year old's. Good stuff.

Roma legends Bruno Conti and Roberto Pruzzo were pictured last night showing their middle finger to Liverpool’s badge at Anfield.

The pair played in the 1984 Champions League final between Roma and Liverpool that was won by the Reds after the penalty kicks and they obviously still hold a grudge.

The Giallorossi face Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final first leg at Anfield tonight.

“That Champions League final still hurts after 34 years,”a smiling Pruzzo told Premium Sport.

“That’s all I think when I think of Liverpool. That final will hurt me till the end. But that’s what football is about, you know.

“You always have to look ahead. Today I was talking with my friend Graziani about the penalty kicks saved by Grobbelaar. Ciccio took a huge responsibility and I still thank him today. Even champions make mistakes, sometimes it happens.”

No surprises there, good to see.

Was bricking it earlier in the day but I'm strangely calm right now. Probably will be right up until something sets me off (YNWA or the CL anthem, maybe) and then I'll be a mess.

Need to win tonight by two clear goals to feel good about the second leg. I don't want to be going into that game feeling like I feel right now (of course, I did say last week that it's good to be feeling the nerves this time of year - it's been too long since we did!).
