Sadio Mane

It looks like an Indian sherwani. I was rocking the Mane look at a wedding a couple of months ago - same colours as the above. The sherwani tops are oddly comfortable despite stopping just above the knee, but the accompanying pyjamas definitely are NOT comfortable. People are taking to wearing jeans instead these days, which is good thinking as you also have somewhere better to stash you wallet, keys, phone etc.

Anyone else think that Mane should be played as a number 9?

He's basically Samuel Etoo in waiting.

Bravery, speed, power, pressing, leadership, good finishing ability.

Coutinho---------------------------Salah

or

----------------------Mane--------------------

-------------------Firmino----------------------

Coutinho---Wijnaldum---Can----Oxlades

or

Worth a try, he's no less of a number 9 than Bobby is.

He's got 37 goals in 98 games in the PL.  Goal every 2.64 games.

Firmino has got 23 goals in 69 games.  Goal every 3 games.

I think Mane needs to be reinvigorated, and the way to do that is through a change in position.  He wants to be the main man, he deserves to be front and centre and driving the team forward.

I think Mane's been a bit gash recently. I really like the lad and when he's on blob, he's on blob. But, I think he gets a bit over confident sometimes and he'll lose an easy ball and have it nicked off his toes when he should be beating his man.

Doesnt make him a bad player though.

I think Mane gets put in too many positions with his back to goal, which is when he's most likely to lose the ball.

Let's face it, he's fucking brilliant and he should be facing forward at all times, and would be a willing runner for every through ball.  And chances are he'll win 10 penalties a season as he gets a toe to a through ball when the defender can't quite believe how fast he is off the mark.

He's a thoroughbred, his drive to win is there for all to see.  He must be sick and fucking tired of seeing our strikers fuck games up, which can only dent your own performance levels.

Not sure where that 'win rate without Mane' is now, but it must be shocking.

yet you are advocating playing him up top where he will have to play even more with his back to goal.

Fucking International duty

Sadio Mane is facing a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury on international duty, Liverpool FC can confirm.

The winger was substituted 89 minutes into Senegal's 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over the Cape Verde Islands on Saturday.

And it has now been confirmed that he picked up an injury during that fixture that could keep him out of action for up to six weeks.

Mane, whose lay-off will commence when Manchester United visit Anfield on Saturday, has scored three goals in four Premier League appearances this term.
