Juventus are a side that can defend properly without actually being a defensive side. They've got great balance too. They also have vast experience and it shows. That said, they've always been a team that veers towards experience over youth, and so many of their key players down the years have been well into their 30s (or 40s, in the case of Zoff - Buffon could go on into his 40s too). When the stats men do those average-age-of-the-team reports, I'd bet that Juventus are usually in the 30-and-above bracket.

Chiellini had played about 90 games for Juve by the time we'd signed Dossena.

 

You could argue he wasn't established as a centreback for all of those 90 games because he played both left back and Centre back but anything else is a massive stretch.
