How many goals are conceded from his 'needless' fouls? If someone can say everyone leads to a clear scoring opportunity or more than half lead to goals then fair fucks, he's shit. But if not and instead if it breaks up play and the opposition lose momentum then isn't he actually doing his job?

Id rather see one of our midfielders putting his foot in and maybe giving away some fouls, than watch journeymen midfielders taking the piss driving through the center of the pitch with people dangling a few half hearted legs at them.
