Just back from a stag do in Benidorm.   Waiting on a PPI claim to decide next destination. It's a toss up between Rome and Egypt, but could end up being Ibiza or Lanzarote.

Just back from a week in Egypt. The diving was superb.

Yeah, but decades ago.

 

Roads were mad, and lost my crutch, as one rolled off into the sea. Luckily a couple of British divers were in the area and found it.

Can't remember much else. Stayed in a time share in Valetta.

Someone was definitely talking about it on here last year as I remember thinking it sounded worth a rethink after always having dismissed it.

Gonna give it a look Rem, see if I can get any good deals.

When I went it was £35 for hotel and flights for a week, was ridiculous! But that was about 8-9 freakin' years ago and in November. Check teletext...

I could probably give you a few ideas about Seattle and San Diego as well.

 

Guadalajara is where we'll be at Christmas, staying at a friends swanky house nearer to the coast.

We normally go to Valance in the south of France where her ma lives for a cheap and relaxing holiday. However when the baby is eventually born it'll be too young to fly so might have to do it later in the year.

 

Baby scupering my plans already!

 

What's Valance like as a holiday destination? Driven through it loads of times and always fancied staying.

It's small but nice for restaurants and shopping. Probably best as a base to see other things in the Arew.

 

It's ideally placed for trips to Avingon, and there's a medieval village, lots of camp sites and s lovely lake you pay 5€ a car to get access too. There's also a VeloRail relatively close and the mountains are a lovely drive. Not too far from Lyon or Grenoble either which are lovely
