Special mention for Lucas. Good home debut for Sturridge.

Fact is, most of the players played very well today and there wasnt a great deal between any of them.

Not going to pick one this week, it was a top team performance with every player contributing. No-one was perfect as each had individual bad moments but work rate was 10 out of 10 and that was the difference when compared to so many other games recently. So

It feels good to have a genuine choice of contenders!

1. Steven Gerrard - All-round superb performance: a master-captain.

2. Luis Suarez - Tied Norwich in knots with some of the ridiculously skilful stuff that we should never take for granted.

3. Jordan Henderson - This is what a confidence player can do when he's confident! Please give us more of this.

Happy to give some props to Henderson at long last. Sturridge scoring at the Kop end and 3/3. Honourable mention for Lucas as he looked more solid in our midfield which is exactly what we've been missing. Overall, I think everyone was decent. Our defence didn't have anything to do really. Johnson looked a bit shaky coming back to defend a couple of times, but offered so much more going forward.
