Andy Polo

"Liverpool look to have beaten Arsenal in the race to sign South American sensation Andy Polo - with the teenager expected to arrive at Anfield next month according to talkSPORT.

The 17-year-old Peruvian prodigy who has been likened in playing style to Brazilian star Robinho, and has been nicknamed La Joya, or 'The Jewel' due to his precocious ability - is set to arrive in England in November.

Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has been working tirelessly to negotiate a deal for Polo, and according to reports, has successfully convinced the player and his representatives to travel to Merseyside for further discussion at the end of the domestic season in Peru.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of the talented youngster, and only last week reports suggested he would be on his way to the Emirates Stadium.

But the latest developments mean that Polo will now snub Arsenal in favour of spending a month at Anfield with a view to signing a long-term deal to join his South American compatriots Luis Suarez and Sebastian Coates at Liverpool.

With a host of other major European clubs keen on signing the Universitario striker, the signing will be deemed a major transfer coup for the Reds if they successfully fight off interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Arsenal to secure Polo's signature."

Admittedly its a shite source so was just wondering if anybody had heard anything?

Insert shit puns below..
