I think it's Ray Wilkins. Thankfully he's not watching the Mancs tie otherwise he would be totally unbearable. He had a point about winning the first header from a corner, whether attacking or defending. Defensively it calms you, and in attack it can lift your side even if nothing much comes of it.

Crouch didn't need to make the challenge, although it looked a lot worse that it actually was in real time. The replay showed it was late, but with minimal contact. Marcelo acted like a knob afterwards.

 

Assou-Ekotto should get a card simply for having an appalling haircut, since the ref is dishing cards out. Bale has barely been involved, but Modric has looked tidy.

Very true but I cant believe a supposedly top ref in a CL quarters could make such a decision. Marcelo made a fucking meal of it.
