Really quite shitty that and much of the play from both sides was cynical beyond belief. One of the main reasons I don't watch much Spanish football is that the amount of diving almost literally sickens me - I've turned games off after ten minutes before I put my monitor through, I find it utterly pathetic and I just end up screaming "GET UP! GET UP YOU FUCKING SHITHOUSE CUNT!" at the screen until the neighbours start banging on the wall.

 

That's actually the whole point of the game for some players in that league - it's not about them or their team winning trophies and adulation, it's about whether they can con the ref more elegantly and successfully than the other side. I'd kneecap every fucking one of them given the chance, they should all fuck off and set up a specialist diving competition for people that want to watch that shit because it's got nothing to do with the game I love.

 

Granted no-one gives a fuck about the Spanish cup but the CL games had better be an improvement on that shite.

At times in the second half it was Barca v Casillas. I can't see Real getting away with it again.

That's how to play against Barcelona and win. It ain't flukey, he's done it several times now.

 

If you give them the freedom to play 40 passes a move like Arsenal did, you get your arse kicked. Mourinho doesn't let that happen. They've had 3,5 hours to beat Real so far in the mini-series, and can't do it. The only time they scored was a penalty.

 

Expect more of the same next week.

Even Guardiola seems to have changed his sideline demeanour from his earlier casual, debonair chic to an eye-popping egotist.

I personally find most footballers nowadays as utter twats. Some worse than others. In Barca's case.... Puyol & Busquets are dramatic twats but imo they are more than overshadowed by the likes of Xavi & Messi.

 

First thing Jack Wiltshire did today was try and get VDV booked. Was brilliant when the latter megged him twice in the same move. JW is a great talent but unfortunately like most footballers seems a bit of a twat at times

Since when did they care so much about the Cup in Spain? Especially Real Madrid, a club that will sack a manager for only winning the Champions League? They've developed a bit of an inferiority complex where Barcelona are concerned and thay've started playing underdog football as a result.
