Anyone else notice the referee change his decision on this?

 

After watching the incident, he initially reached for his left pocket where he kept his yellow card, but after all the whinging from the everton players, then reached for his right pocket with the red. That should really be brought up with any appeal, as it seemed as if he didnt think it was worth a red at first.

 

For what its worth I reckon there was a certain amount of intent from both of them, and the punishment should have been the same for them. Can 2 players be sent of at the same time for a situation like this? And if so who gets the free kick??
