Raptors aren't shithouses though, no way they'd run. Saying that, they are smarter than the average bear (despite getting thwarted by a teenage gymnast) so now I don't know what to think.

I reckon they are smart enough to pick their fights. Sometimes the discretion is the better part of valour!

Nah, that's why they got twatted by the T Rex at the end of the first one. Small dinosaur syndrome makes them aggressive.

Still, I'm willing to give it a go for Chris Pratt and Dallas Bryce Howard alone. Although I'm thinking if the Jurassic Seaworld monster could leap for that shark, it could definitely have flopped over the barrier for some scooby snacks in the stands. In fact, I'm going to call it now. Seaworld Sam (as I've now named him) will take down the GM dino at the end when it strays too close to the water, or is hanging off that monorail bridge.

As brilliant as Tim Curry himself was as Pennywise, I'd like to think they can do a better job with the overall re-make of 'It'. Too many holes in the movie that were well explained in the novel. Yeah, that's a common thing with book > movie translations, but it was especially important in this story, which is still one of the creepiest books I've read to date.

I assumed it was real, it certainly looks it. Just checked on Twitter & none of Empire, Total Film, Lation Review or Sky Movies has tweeted it as news, I'd have assumed they'd have been all over it.

Anyway, the best bit about the trailer is definitely Luke Skywalkers beard.

I know I've been burnt before with the prequel trailers, but this looks fucking ace:

The imagery of the Storm Trooper with the light sabre is amazing.

I am fucking all over that despite the prequel ominshambles. Luke as an older Jedi Master a la Ben looks ace.

Edit: for fuck's sake. The real thing had better be fucking better.

Often talked about Independence Day 2 finally looks to be brought to production!

Independence Day 2 set for release in 2016... 20 years after the original blockbuster (but Will Smith won't be back)

It's been in the works for almost 20 years.

But it looks like the long-awaited sequel to Independence Day is finally coming together.

Bosses at Twentieth Century Fox are said to have given the green-light for filming to begin next May, with the studio reportedly close to getting original director Roland Emmerich to sign on for the second movie.

He's back: Roland Emmerich, pictured at the German premiere of White House Down in Berlin, is reportedly close to signing on to direct Independence Day 2, 20 years after the release of his original blockbuster in 1994

The 1996 film about an alien invasion of Earth starred Will Smith as the wise-cracking Captain Steve Hillier, who joins a disparate bunch of survivors in a last-chance counter attack on July 4, Independence Day.

But despite the fact the sequel is now in the works, it is reported that Mr Smith is unlikely to be returning for the new film.

Deadline Hollywood reported that the new movie will be released on June 26, 2016, in time for Independence Day weekend.

They added that casting for the new roles will begin after a director for the film is secured.

Back in June 2013, FilmBook reported that original cast members Bill Pullman, who played US President Thomas Whitmore, and Jeff Goldblum, as scientist David Levinson, would be returning for Independence Day 2.

But that has not been confirmed this time around.

Not returning: Even though a sequel is now in the works, it is reported that Will Smith will not be returning to reprise his role as Captain Steve Hillier

Who's in, who's out: But despite Will Smith being unlikely to return for the sequel, Jeff Goldblum, right, was said to be attached in 2013 although his casting has yet to be confirmed

Speaking at a Q&A with Filmbook at the Apple Store in SoHo, New York, at the time, Mr Emmerich said: 'We have, like, maybe half of the people that you would know from the first film (in the script) and the other half who are new. I think some aliens will be back.'

There had been speculation Fox might greenlight two films shot back-to-back, but it seems only one made the cut.

Last year it was reported that Mr Smith would not be returning to the sequel because he would be 'too expensive' to hire.

Since finding fame through his TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and movies such as the alien invasion blockbuster, Smith has become one of Hollywood's elite stars and regularly commands $20 million for movie roles.

Speaking at the time to the New York Daily News Mr Emmerich added: 'Will Smith cannot come back because he's too expensive.

Commander-In-Chief: In June 2013, Roland Emerich said that Bill Pullman was due to reprise his role as US President Thomas Whitmore but there has been no mention of the star as yet

The 1996 film also starred Harry Connick Junior, right, where he played pilot Captain Jimmy Wilder

'But he'd also be too much of a marquee name. It would be too much. We have like maybe half of the people that you know would know from the first film [in the script] and the other half people who are new.'

The original movie was released in July 1996 and tells the story how giant spacecraft, piloted by aliens is on a collision course with Earth before the invade and destroy.

A team, including Captain Steven Hillier, played by Smith and scientist David Levinson, played by Goldblum then have the task of saving the rest of the population.

It grossed $817.4 million worldwide according to Box Office Mojo taking $104.3million in the first full week of its release, breaking the record set by Jurassic Park three years earlier.

It won an Oscar for its ground-breaking visual effects and also spawned a merchandising line which included action figures and toy vehicles as well as a video game.

Been watching that Jurassic Park trailer again & can't believe how shit it looks.

All the dialogue seems incredibly cheesy, Chris Pratts lines especially.

It also looks ridiculously fake. The original came out 20+ years ago & looks more realistic than this. I hope they look so bad as the CGI hasn't been finished yet.

I don't know if they are aiming for sci-fi B-movie or what. I love the original but this looks even worse than the sequels.
