It was daytripper mad yesterday. It always is with low end games though. People don't take up the option for tickets or let someone else have them. Crap atmosphere because there were so many in-experienced fans.

We also sit there expecting to be entertained against shit teams.

This is one of the problems.

People turning up expecting to see The Mighty Reds tm steamroller the blerts of the week.

"You could argue that you aren't going to stop people wearing jester hats and singing 'who are ya' either, but RTK feel they can educate these people to stop them doing it.

Surely the same logic applies with the Munich chanting etc.

I'm not saying it will work, but surely this issue deserves the same level of attention and effort as the daytrippers? In fact, it deserves more attention and effort." (Dave)

Totally agree there, these are more important topics that need sorting out. But these bastards won't listen to anyone anyway. RTK would need to come up with something special to get through.

Maybe it's not such a bad thing to remind people to make it a special night, it's just that come the day after people will be saying how great RTK is and how it must be working!

I've still got mixed feelings over the whole thing, but an appeal for a big atmosphere for a big European Cup game against Barcelona? Please.

Why knock an attempt to make the atmosphere at the Barca game as good as it possibly could be?

I'm not the biggest fan of RTK but in this case they want what we all want so why not just go with it?

The shout to get in early is probably the most important because this was one of the most important factors behind the atmosphere against Chelsea in the Champions League semi.

And it also acts as a warning to anyone who thinks this tie is over (and judging by some of the comments on the forums there are quite a few who do).

You don't have to support RTK to give this particular initiative your backing.

Because we don't need a campaign to have Anfield rocking for a game against Barcelona, or for any European night.

They'll be taking credit for something which is fucking inevitable anyway.

As someone else said, the Sheffield United match would have been a better target.

Because they were nowhere to be seen, with no directives on the website, for a game when something different was needed to create an atmosphere.

Instead of whining on here to each other about it why don't you bother your arses to get onto the RTK website and ask the questions there?

because whatever question you try to ask is deemed a personal attack and answered with a "fuck off you wool/daytripper/OOt "answer

Gav, you could always appoint a scouser as your personal representative, who will ask questions for you. That might be ok for them (but check the smallprint first).

Personally, I agree with most of the principles of RTK, but am a little concerned that it does just become a permanent Scouse/OOT/Wool issue.

Even though they say its not. You cant even say to them, that its daytrippers and scally scouse kidders who are the problems. some of them think all OTT's are daytrippers.

Err, what about Bordeaux and PSV? The behaviour of some of the Main Standers was shite especially against Bordeaux.

And to be fair surely todays RTK bulletin is aimed at these people?

Also the point about getting in early is a damn fine one, its depressing singing YNWA in a half empty stadium.
