Never hides, gets more goals than any of our strikers, not afraid to try something different, reluctant hardman (!) who even ended Roy Keane's United career. Can be frustrating as hell but has a huge heart for a little guy. Hope to see him figure prominently against United and Benfica over the next week, particlularly in light of Morientes' and Cisse's current form.

I've thought for a while that with the exception of Fowler he's probably the most natural goalscorer at the club - he does drift out of games allot, but his jack in the box style can be priceless in big games like the Arse and Juve..

I love him like i love my children. Most of the time he pisses me off, but every now and then, he is my favourite thing on the planet. I think he is ace.

id play him with Fowler in our home games, the movement of those two would be very hard to deal with.

As Morientes struggles to hold the ball up anyway we wouldnt really be losing that much but little luis is a much better finisher than moro at present

I'm a better finisher than Morientes.

Is it me or was he extremely pissed off when he scored the goal? Didn't smile once, was swearing in Spanish, very wierd because usually he's like a big kid. Maybe he was pissed about playing in the reserves or because of what Rafa said to him about his inconsistency?

Can't really think of any other reason though mate because he hadn't been hard done to in the game or anything and udually he's like a 5 year old in Toys R Us when he scores. Saw him swear in Spanish a couple of times and was deffo not happy. Still, looked funny to see him looking "hard" :D.

Trust me, he was happy. He was made up when he scored that goal, and he was only talking/"swearing" to himself when he jogged back. Probably just saying "I'm the fu**ing man!" in spanish

I don't like him and in the long-run I don't think he's good enough to start games regularly.

Coming off the bench and scoring important goals like last night (and Bolton) is what i'd use him for once we get a 'proper' right winger in. Good squad player, but far too wasteful in possession to be a regular.

Possibly the only player in the squad capable of an outrageous piece of skill that can turn a game. He does lose possession a lot, but he tries more things than anyone else too. Anyway, Morientes and Cisse each give it away more than Luis at the moment.

All that proves is that all three possibly aren't good enough. I can see that Garcia sometimes comes up with something brilliant but the ratio of these attempts to doing something tangible isn't high enough for me.

All players lose the ball but he does it far more than anyone i've seen in a red shirt for a long time.

different games call for different plaeys i think ian. In europe and against better prem teams luis is quality player. The likes of Bolton / Blackburn who just want to kick the shit out of everyone or crappy FA cup teams i think he struggles and it shows.

If he can keep his fancy shit to the last third he'll do for me cos he does score goals.

Thats why I would play him as a second withdrawn striker just behind Fowler at home games and have him as sub at away games

Exactly - hence me saying he's a good squad player. There are games i'd play him in, but most of the time i'd have him on the bench.
