I don't see the point in securing another midfielder while we're in such disarray up top that we aren't actually fielding a number 9.

We’ve got three number 9s, with different skill sets, and have had one on the pitch at all times so far this season. Except for a brief spell after Mac was sent off when Mo played there, which he is quite good at.

Salah will not go anywhere, there are more goals to be scored, more records to break and more titles to win.

I could see him going to a massive club like Real or, less likely,  PSG, Code.  Most likely next summer. Why wouldn't he?

I wouldn't begrudge him either.

Just pay the release clause for Andre you massive dicks.

Brazilian football season runs from April to December so buy him now or January and he would be knackered come the end of our season. If we’re going to get him we will need to watch his game time I think.

It's back on.

30 mil euro

Defender Benjamin Pavard will wrap up his move to Inter Milan by this Thursday at the latest.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello SPort, via FCInterNews.

Inter are closing in on the signing of Pavard.

The 27-year-old is the player who the Nerazzurri have identified to replace Milan Skriniar in defense.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

Inter have been pushing in talks through the past few days.

They have continued to push their offer up, and hoped that the player’s insistence would make the difference.

And now, it’s a done deal. Inter and Bayern have reached a full agreement on a deal for Pavard.

Here's a picture of our invisible number 9s while Diaz is trying to attack.

Why leave the defending league champions?

Can't believe we aren't all over Pavard. Top class player. Only reason must be agent fees or/and wages.

Was talking to a bluenose mate who watches a lot of German football. He reckons Endo is a very decent signing for us. Said Slob is going to be world class (I agree). Definitely feel that the midfield isn't too far off. Really don't know enough about Andre or Doucore to know if they have the ability to take a seriously expensive punt on. Didn't see the Palace game last night so can't comment.

Really want a centre half. Feel like that is the big weak point this year. Virgil isn't the same player, Konate will have a spell out, Big Bird is likely to have an extended spell out and Gomez will be out for months and is no longer good enough. Hope I'm proved wrong.
