Actually reading this again it does kind of make sense. I reckon we’ll just use Elliott as Szoboszlai’s backup though.

First choice of Mac Allister, Endo, Szoboszlai. Backup three of Jones, Bajcetic and Elliott. Thiago to pick up minutes in whatever role whenever he’s physically available. Gakpo or Trent as emergency options.

Not the midfield rebuild we wanted but should still be a big improvement on last year.

Big improvement on paper. The proof will be in the pudding.

The midfield is now much better technically. Can we actually line 3 up that make sense together, is the question.

The biggest frustration would be letting Man City drift away from us early in the season before we get a solid midfield up and running. It could be one of those seasons where we have a chance. Who knows?

i agree endo probably isn't enough, in the same way last years midfield wasn't enough. i don't think that means we will do another though. klopp has happily run with just one specialist #6 in all the time fab was here and none when he wasn't - including when we decided fab was a centre back. i think klopp will think jones, mac, thiago and bajcetic can all do a job there. i don't like it myself, but i think that's where we are and always have been under klopp. Endo is the new Fab imo.

It does make sense but I believe it’s not done yet. If he’s good enough, he could end being a starter as 6. But ….

I see Endo’s purchase as a makeshift option while Thiago and Bajcetic are injured though.

The Spaniard is still young but if he’s as good as we could hope after what we saw last year that works be crazy to put a lot of money on an average player.

I know it does not make sense to say the club believes in him when they were ready to splash more than 100 M£ on Caicedo.

But our transfer strategy is clueless….

The type of midfielder we have now, including Endo, who played with someone else at Stuttgart, is more double pivot type. We will have to see how we evolve tactically.

David Lynch, writing a column for Liverpool.no, states that today's Pearce article "LFC will not sign another 6" does not mean we are not after players like Doucoure, as he can do more than just be a 6.

Reminds me of a shop they used to have in Widnes called the 99p shop, the slogan was "all items 99p - unless priced otherwise."

The right decision, finally. Only made after those cunts spent the last couple of weeks testing the waters. Only when they saw the backlash did they decree it wouldn't be achievable to reintegrate the horrible little scrote. Not for a second was it a moral consideration for them. It was all about where it sat on the flack-o-meter.

He'll have to go abroad, surely. Spain or Italy maybe.

It's mind boggling that they wanted to bring him back.

There's video and audio footage of him raping her!

If it had been some unknown youth player that hadn't played for the first team they'd have been sacked on the spot.

"Based on the evidence available to us, we have concluded that the material posted online did not provide a full picture and that Mason did not commit the offences in respect of which he was originally charged."

OK, lads.

RE: The Pearce article: If the plan is now to bring Stefan along, using Endo to protect him by sharing out the games and using Thiago when he's available to us, I think I'm ok with that now. As opposed to going and signing someone way down the list like Dourcoure and spending £70-odd mill on him.

They could have said said in light of events blah blah blah, we've decided to part ways with the player instead they're playing the put upon down trodden club forced to make the wrong decision with statements like

Quote

"Based on the evidence available to us, we have concluded that the material posted online did not provide a full picture and that Mason did not commit the offences in respect of which he was originally charged. That said, as Mason publicly acknowledges today, he has made mistakes which he is taking responsibility for."

Wonder if the Saudi's will have to fight Chelsea for his signature.

Man United fans weren’t so bothered about evidence when their white saviour came back to Old Trafford. Granted the Ronaldo stuff isn’t as public as The Greenwood stuff but if you take the time to look in to it it’s pretty damning.

Not sure, I know a few who took a significant step back from the whole deal for those seasons. A few others stopped going after tickets at least.

It's just there are always more.
