Virgil and Milner are sometimes pretty active with it but I didn't notice either doing much about it last night.

I think Virgil has gone into himself a little while he's struggling a bit with his own form..he doesn't look as sure of himself on anything. Even those long passes he's usually great at, he's delaying them and not hitting as crisply.

And it was late in the day when milner arrived. Those cunts were time wasting from the 2nd minute.

I dont think we need to build our team around trents crossing ability if he gets forward and gets one in great but facilitating everything just to get the best out of him imbalances our whole team. He's not the messiah infact often he's too casual.

He’s not the Messiah, he’s a very naughty boy.

The Newcastle fans were singing the usual “this is a library" how the fuck would they know anything about a library the brain dead morons.

George Sephton ought to make an announcement: 'To those supporters inquiring about a library, the nearest is in Green Lane".

Small time song. I was at Notts County last week and Chesterfield fans were singing that to them. Also that "up the premier league we go" is sung by shite small-time teams who just change it to "football league"

That's pretty much their level or it would be if they weren't owned by a horrific regime.

We have all week to practice this stuff though. If the other team are all huge, try some shorter, more clever corners.

Hitting the first man or directing it straight into their keepers arms is tiring to watch after the first handful.

We're the same at throw ins, fucking brutal. Usually two players hiding behind the opposition and one available about 6mm from the touchline.

We did eventually score from a corner to win the game and you're still having a whinge. This is after the previous game in which 3 of our goals came from corner kicks. What more do you want?

We consistently have one of the best records at set pieces every season. Even if we took a good corner kick every single time, it still wont lead to a goal every single time because the odds are heavily against it happening. Only 4% of all goals scored by teams come from a corner kick.

The opposition are allowed to have tall players or keepers, who are good in the air and well placed to deal with even the best of deliveries. Many football fans just cant seem to deal with this simple concept.

I haven't seen the Bournemouth game so didn't realised we'd scored three there.

With regards your other points, you might want to re-read my posts. I certainly don't expect us to score from all or most of our corners, simply that we use a bit more imagination when things aren't working. I thought our corners last night were generally poor & the coaching team could have a look at changing things up.

I thought it was entirely predictable..their side looked fucking massive. We are a team of midgets. And one of our few big players, Gomez, isn't good in the air, so we don't push him forward on corners and hold him back - so if he plays, we are one light compared to when matip or konate play. If matip is fit enough, I'd have him back for the derby. He brings the ball out well, which helps with teams who sit in deep and he's another body on set pieces. The only trade off is gomez does have pace, which can maybe help as we get attacked down that right side and they'll no doubt be twatting it to Gordon down there and just tell him to run into people and fall over.

The one time all night Gomez went up for a corner he won the initial header for the winner.

Did he really? To be honest, I didn't have a fucking clue what happened on the goal, the whole thing was panic stations everyone seemed to be in or around the 6 yard box! We sit in the kop and the only reason we knew it was a goal was the celebration and we had no idea who scored! Did he win it early? I've seen since the Salah and carvalho bit. I'll have to put motd on later to have a look. He was shocking in the air over the game, there was a few times he was up and back on the ground by the time the ball arrived. Most of the defensive headers he won were when his feet didn't have leave the ground.
