It’s because the price per kWH is something hardly anyone knows.  Much better to look at % increases and do the kind of worked examples they do with tax increases and such like.  So ‘if you live in a terraced house and normally pay x you’ll likely pay y unless you reduce your consumption’

I don't think I know anyone who has not made themselves aware of their own rate in recent months.  It's not hard to give both sets of information, people don't need to be spoonfed. Is it 7 different regions?  Come on we're not talking 700!

I think all you need to really know is that it’s still going up to an exorbitant amount, the more you use the more you will pay, there is no cap on what your bill might be, if you’re a heavy user you may pay way above the “cap” figure

Listen, am I going to have to downsize my king-size hot tub?

It’s only the standing charge that’s regional.

Bleedin hell so even easier!

No, it’s more complicated.  Half the people are more stupid than the average person.

Use something everyone knows - what they paid last year.  Then tell them it’ll be xtimes more this year - UNLESS they use less.

Fucking horrendous woman

How the fuck she gets on telly these days I don't know.

"I've lived in a house without central heating."

Yes, that was BEFORE CENTRAL HEATING. Everyone lived in a house without central heating BEFORE CENTRAL HEATING. It doesn't mean we should all freeze to death in 2022.

The Tories are just rolling society back a bit - we'll have workhouses next.
