This whole peace bollocks and sone press saying we'd have a hard time getting Carvalho after Fulham being furious with the Elliot deal is a joke. The fee was set by tribunal so no doubt they were a bit pissed at the fee, but any issues were sorted with tbe Harry Wilson deal, allowing them to pay later for FFP reasons.  Same as any suggestion they could play hardball with Carvalho, 6 months left on the deal, if he go abroad you get nothing. They didn't hold any cards at all. Glad he sees out the season with them if the deal happens though.

Watched the Fulham game yesterday and Carvalho was shite. Not big or physical enough, not especially quick, pushed off the ball easily, had a real attitude too, a proper shit weasel. I wouldn't waste £5m on him.

Harry Wilson is miles better.

Not keen on spending the next few years with people assuming you're his biggest fan then?

Harry Wilson is five years older than Carvalho, Wilson was far too lightweight at the same age.

Carvalho seems like a bit of a money ball signing, we probably think that we can develop him, and then sell him on at a big profit in a few years.

Or develop him and be a good player for us!

The lad's supposedly being tracked by other clubs so Im not on board with this buy to sell him. It might work out that way but equally, we could be buying him, like Elliott, to develop and use him.

Just my opinion. The kid is miles away and will never make it.

Would love it if he proves me wrong.

How funny would it be if Burnley bought Origi for 12-15ml with the fund Newcastle gave them for Woods and he kept them up at Newcastles expense

I’d rather keep him for that amount and fuck those ale house cunts anyway.

Newcastle relegated they’ll bounce straight back up, Burnley will probably be gone for good.

Another Newcastle signing…

Seeing Geordies on Twitter “buzzing” at their signings, but to me, they are mostly meh…

Trippier - Good player.

Wood - Shite.
This Brazilian midfielder - He has 3 Brazil caps in a squad where Fred is an ever present and not played for them since 2020. Can’t help that think if he was that good, he wouldn’t be going to Newcastle.

Dan Burn - Meh.

Ekitike - Never heard of him until 15 mins ago, his stats look good to be fair. Unsure he’ll be an instant starter.

To me, Newcastle are alright going forward. St Maximan, on his day, is a threat, Almiron, Wilson & Friaser are Premiership quality players.

Defensively & midfield they are a mess, I don’t see Dan Burn sorting the defensive mess out and it’s a lot to ask Guimarães of in midfield.

It all feels very scattergun.
