I like Conte and think he's a decent bloke. But he stayed, what, 2 seasons at chelsea then threw his toys out the pram when Abramovich wouldnt buy him the players he wanted?

There's a big question mark whether Levy will open the purse as much as Conte would want or, cash in on Kane if city come back and doesnt put all of that money to player purchases.

I was reading in The Athletic today about Conte at Chelsea.

They finished 10th before he joined. They didn’t have any European football but they certainly didn’t have their best side when they won the league.

After they won the title, he wanted Lukaku and VVD and “they’d dominate for years”.

They signed him Barkley, Drinkwater, Emerson, Zappacosta, Bakayoko, Rudiger & Morata - total £185m. Given how all of those apart from Rudiger turned out, I can see why he’d be pissed off.

Although they finished 5th, they still won the FA Cup.

They then kept him on until a week after pre-season started and sacked him for Sarri.

Conte has taken Chelsea to tribunal and won an unfair dismissal claim. He won the appeal as well.

Although Conte does come across as high maintenance and his handling of Costa seems questionable, I do think he was badly treated at Chelsea.

Millwall v Palace..

‘Millwall as a club chose not to take a knee as their way of showing diversity and inclusion, it’s not a protest just their way” on commentary.

Palace players take a knee, the ground is a cacophony of boos. Vile racist sarf Londoners
