Mane had his foot stood on. Went down, got a yellow card.

Salah in a bear hug until ball gone- doesn't go down, no foul.

No idea what a player is supposed to do when he is fouled any more.

(Mane one looked theatrical so I can see why the card, but if the ref is a blind bent cunt what is the player supposed to do?)

They've proven anything can be made to look offside if they try hard enough. The overturns are all to give offside, not take them away, at least that's what I've noticed.

They sided with the linesman there, Imo, because there wasn't enough evidence to overturn. But it wasn't offside, everyone can see that. It's on the linesman for initially calling it.

According to the new rules he shouldn't even be flagging it, so I see that point. It was shit all round and just adds to the frustration since they introduced the system. If anything it just shows how incompetent English officials are in the main.

It's still a human being making a decision, hence it will be subjective. It's not like hawk-eye which literally tells people what to do.

Then anyone who gets an offside wrong despite having video in front of them needs to be instantly removed from their role pending an investigation. It’s offside or it isn’t.

The club needs to complain about Atkinson he's clearly a biased twat and a cheat.

They'd be complaining to riley, the same twat who said Kenny was wasting his breath going on about bad reffing decisions, presumably because even then, riley was in denial about how shit his officials were.

You have to wonder why they are having these issues with VAR in England when they dont seem to have them in the Bundesliga, Serie A and presumably La Liga.

I dont see them going to millimetres from a camera angle not perpendicular to the incident especially in the Bundesliga. The PL cannot be the only league in Europe where offsides are down to such fine margins.

I keep saying it, mike riley is a fucking clown. He's the one issuing instructions to his officials how to interpret situations. Everyone in the Sky studio was saying our goal will stand when VAR finishes reviewing it. They were incredulous it was wiped out.

This stuff is down to incompetence. But we need to re group and re organise and let the sense of injustice drive us on.

The Bundesliga has had many problems with VAR but their handicap has been slightly less due to not having the same levels of imcompetence among officials that the PL has.

I watch the Bundesliga regularly on tv. They're into their 2nd season with it. The only issues Ive seen is the widespread one of time taken to review decisions. But even there, that includes time where the refs consult the pitch side monitor, something riley insists his officials never do.

Ive see clear and obvious errors overturned such when Bayern were awarded a pen when Lewadonski 'ran into' the defender on his own follow through but was correctly overruled by VAR.

I honestly cannot remember a Bundesliga game where goals have been scrubbed off for millimetre offside decisions.
