Actually forgot Leach was nightwatchman. Mainly because all the rest - Roy, Vince, Burns, Denly, Jennings etc don't actually look like test batsman either.

Leach just made his half century. At least Ireland will have to bat again, plus looking at the pitch and taking the bowlers tiring into account we should be able to set them a score that won't result in England having any more embarrassment.

I think England will win from here.

Looks flat as a pancake. Could see us getting 400 and skittling them for 150.

I agree, but you never know with our top order.

Just listening to TMS myself.  There's a belt of rain due tomorrow morning, I guess the ideal would be to bat through to that and then, seeing the conditions, put them back in to different conditions.  Will still have two days to get them so even if the showers are worse than predicted there should be plenty of time to get the result.

It's just a 4 day test mate.

Harsh judgement after one innings in which he was dismissed by a jaffa!

Denly and Burns aren’t close to being good enough, Bairstow is in awful nick, Moeen has been crap for ages, Roy will get some good scores but he’ll also get out cheaply a lot too...

England’s batting is basically shit in red ball cricket and has been for some time.

The good thing is that the Aussies are in a similar boat. They need Warner or Smith to fire and we need Root, Stokes or Buttler to fire.

The Ashes will probably be a shoot out between the two bowling attacks.
