GW is easily affected by the form of his midfield partners.

He’s not capable of raising his game on his own.

He’s a mad use of £25m, sometimes very effective, but often a passenger.

Would like to see him alongside a top class midfield to see if he can operate in that, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he could.

He was at his most anonymous last night, and the fee is a bit of a millstone round his neck, but I think he's a very useful player. Quick of thought and movement, comfortable receiving the ball under pressure and moving it on quickly. It doesn't sound a lot but is more than can be said of our other midfielders and I think are qualities that will benefit us with more dynamic players around him, I'd imagine Keita will benefit from Wijnaldum supporting him.

Looks to me like this is a bit of a dress rehearsal for him to be playing in front of the defence on Wednesday. He’s doing okay but these are dreadful.

I’ve said for a while that I think he’d be a top class DM. Despite whether he’s sometimes non-existent he’s a very clever footballer, deceptively strong and is brilliant in the air he’s also very quick over 5/10 yards.

He is never in  a million years going to be a top class anything.
