He had a decent game today. Made a couple of saves and was unlucky with the goal. Having watched it several times I’m more than 95% sure it was a cross that fluked its way in.

 

I agree with the view we need better, but today wasn’t a game to add to the highlight reel the prosecution has amassed.

One is a vital part of one of the best attacks in the top 6, even if he is a bit unconventional in his skillset.

Quite simple really, Mignolet like Karius, and most if not all of our midfield are not good enough. This is not a new thing and has not yet been addressed. Until it is we will be an attractive top 4-6 team.

So Mig has got to mark all of the forwards too now , seems fair enough. I'm sure if he had stood at the far post next to the 2 forwards and Willian knocked it in the near post everybody on here would have applauded his positioning.

Reina had a prolonged poor spell.

 

His last 6 months though he’d sorted himself out and played to a level Mig has never achieved on a consistent basis.

 

We got rid of Reina at the owners insistence because of his wages.
