He should never have gone to the world cup so soon after that injury.

He should have been resting and then eased back for us pre season.

It would not surprise me at all if he is struggling with it still after going and playing so soon after what docs suggest is a 6 weeks rest job after injury.

He has to play against City, IMO. Great player who is going to score two or three times in a game.

Definitely start him Vs City, but if he's struggling then we shouldn't be shy about subbing him early, no good keeping him on the pitch and eventually replacing him with Sturridge in the 85th minute.

Any chance of him staying home during the international break, getting a bit of r&r and clearing his head? I don’t want to come across all drama quim but if his dodgy form carries on much longer it risks derailing our season

It kind of feels like there’s a bit of talismanic thing going on too, so rather than others stepping up to fill the void they seem to have been knocked off too

I reckon you’ve got a point, there.

Certainly when he’s in full flow he makes life that much easier for everybody around him. Would be nice to see that guy again soon.

Egypt play Swaziland home and away in the break, surely in their interest to give him a rest.

Big game.

If his shoulder still hasn't healed, what are we doing playing him? Never mind about playing at the world cup, it was out of our hands. The question is, why are we still playing him?

It might be a case of it just needing time to heal, additional rest might not have any extra benefits. There might be minimal risk of aggravating it as long as he lays off the wanking for a couple of months.

Is half a Salah better than a full Shaquiri?

Rather have Daquiri but he does have a tendency to go down smoothly.
