*Shakes head* Everton again.

Bought the Echo tonight & nearly pissed myself laughing at the respective reports on theirs & our youth team matches.

We lost 3-2 at Boro & the report was all about how we got what we deserved & how poorly we played from Critchley & ( surprise, surprise ) Prentice.

Everton seemingly put on a display that the Magnificent Magyars would have struggled to match, but somehow lost 5-1 at home to Derby. Greg O'Keeffe ( Tonight Matthew I am going to be Comical Ali ) excels himself outlining the brilliance & ill-fortune on show while managing to practically ignore all 5 Derby goals.

Just before the kick off, Tyldesley was saying how strange it is to have European football back on Merseyside again after a 4 or 5-year gap. He mentioned us playing on Tuesday night then talked about this game, as if both clubs only returned to Europe this season after that long out.

In that 4-5 year period, Everton only played in the Europa League in 2009/10, reaching the last 32. That's it.

In that same 4-5 year period, we played in the Champions League group stage and reached the Europa League semi finals in 2009/10. In 2010/11 we reached the last 16 in the Europa League, and in 2012/13, we reached the last 32 in the Europa League.

Not quite the same thing Clive.

At the end of the first half they also mentioned Everton "Being back at the top table of European Football."

Their announcer is a proper irritant. "Please show your appreciation..." Fuck off! You're an announcer, not a cheerleader.

Listen to George Sephton to hear it done properly.

He seems to think he is the commentator at the start of the X Factor .

"There will be FOUR minutes of added time, yes ladies and gentlemen, you heard that right, FOUR minutes"
