That statement is risible. FBR apparently offered to buy the club for '£375m-£400m' debt free and with a new stadium on 4th October in a letter to Hicks.

And the reason Hicks didn't mention that in the High Court is ... ?

They also claim that RBS deliberately conspired to sell at an undervalue so that teh two cuntwarts woudl not make a profit, That is a breathtaking allegation.

I really don't see what Texas has to do with anything. The US federal system would mean that the company would have to be incorporated in Texas to have jurisdiction. I think the board are free to ignore this injunctin unless it has been served on them in the UK and if the sale has already gone through it's too late.

"Texan courts don't even have jurisdiction over happenings in other states," says Jonathan Kaszynski. "This injunction is a vindictive act, hoping to cause the board and supporters of Liverpool Football Club as much trouble as possible. This has no chance in hell of seeing the light of day in court

Off the Guardian.

Gillett and Hicks claiming 1.6 Billion dollars in damages HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I haven't laughed this much since Lloyd Christmas did his Kung-Fu faces in Dumb & Dumber. Keep the comedy coming you pair of parasites. Oh, a Texan court couldn't even get that jurisdiction in another part of America let alone Britain. Pair of desperate lunatics.

RBS are gonna take them to the cleaners over this regardless of the sale. They really just don't know when to walk away do they. They think they're in some great American Boxing film but someone needs to tell them they're not Rocky, they're Apollo Greed.... erm Creed.

Quick research of stock values, by my reckoning FBR capital is worth no more than $288m probably a lot less, you know what that means. They haven't got the readies to pay cash. They are promising c£650m and they're only worth £150m or less. We all know what that means, they're stooges or leverage buyers. Yet again, not real, not credible.

As for Hicks and the Texans, complete slippery desperate bastards, no doubt has the judge (and the sheriff and deputy) in his oily greasy fat lined pocket.

Guest Scaramanga

I've finished reading that article from the Guardian. Can someone set me straight here and explain to me, who exactly would those clueless cunts be suing for £1.6 billion?

Also, I think the journo's at Forbes need to lay off the glue sniffing for a bit. As much as i'd like it to be true, the value they put on the club seems a bit far fetched.

Forbes is an incredibly hardcore Republican. Wouldn't be surprised if he and Hicks have hob-nobbed in the past and the 'valuation' was a bit of a favour to him.
