I miss the 1980s. Not because of the music or the politics. But because of how easy life was being a Liverpool supporter.

 

A loss was a massive deal rather than a regular occurrence.

after 12 years of Houllier & Rafa efficient(ish) football, i miss the Roy Evans era, ok didnt win anything but it was exciting to watch Liverpool play most of the time, very frustrating aswell mind

....the friendly football conversations with the English guys teaching me the history of the game 12 years ago that made me such a huge supporter. They once got into an argument with my "typical American" friend at the pub and said" Who is more famous, Bobby Charlton or Babe Ruth?". To which my friend responded "Who the fuck is Bobby Charlton?". The look on their faces was priceless!!!!

I miss waking up early and going to 11 St Bar for a killing against ManU, and then heading to The Pourhouse for more football with my favorite fan in the world. My teacher of futbol.
