Is that Mrs Curly's way of telling you it's over?

Bacon looks nice...... I'm struggling here

Haha - the nearest egg looks shire, but was fresh and perfect. The mushrooms were decent, the bacon was great, the hash brown was ok. I’m pro beans but they were shite. The sausage had been under the heat lamp since yesterday it seemed like. Tomatoes were good, but black pudding dry as fuck.

Urban44, a small café in Hessle on the outskirts of Hull; £8.75 for the brekkie, drinks extra.

Overall very good with a couple of areas for improvement:

- Sausage: decent quality but a little dry and only one, admittedly it was quite substantial but I want two.

- Eggs: poached?! I wasn't asked how I wanted them and assumed they would be fried. They were excellently poached, mind.

Otherwise, decent. The bacon was smoked and well cooked, I don't mind tinnes tomatoes and these were at least seasoned well. +1 for beans.

Tinned toms not good. Safely corralled beans is a must - enjoy beans on toast away from the rest of the breakfast. The toast is an insult to Lifey, though.

To be fair if I ordered a breakfast and it turned up with a Yorkshire pud, I'd be celebrating inside. Can we have that become the normal bean delivery format instead of the shit, grubby ramekins?

Also looks the best thing on the plate. How the fuck did they decide on that mess as a marketing pic?

I got a 50% off voucher recently, so treated my mum. Cost about £12 for two carveries and two drinks.

It was impossible to enjoy it though. The place was infested with other voucher holders rampaging for their “bit of all three”.

I was fuming that these people were taking advantage of the same offer as me, at the same time as me. Outrageous behaviour on their parts.

Marriott Waltham Abbey. Lovely hotel as these things go.

one of the best buffet breakfasts I can recall. Rip off pricing at £17 per head but still, very nice.

got my moneys worth by making a packed lunch from the continental stuff.
