McGeady is too light and too greedy. Makes really poor decisions and his crossing is poor. Most of my mates would be Celtic fans and they dont even rate him highly.

would be Celtic fans but what? why won't people let them be Celtic fans? That's really cruel. My thoughts are with them.

Agent - Reds in for Defour

Liverpool interest in Standard Liege playmaker confirmed

Last updated: 4th August 2009

Steven Defour's agent has confirmed that Liverpool are keen on the Belgian star.

Real Madrid have joined the hunt for the Standard Liege playmaker, who has previously been the target of Everton and Aston Villa.

Real were considering Defour should they not sign Xabi Alonso from Liverpool, who are also viewing him a replacement for the Spaniard.

Roma's Alberto Aquilani remains a target for Rafa Benitez, but Defour is also very much on the radar for the Anfield club, who are expected to sell Alonso to Real this week.

Standard have insisted that they will not be parting company with their prized asset but, Defour feels that is not the case.

"I have an agreement with Standard Liege that I could go to a top club, and Liverpool fit the bill," the 21-year-old is quoted by the English press.

And his agent, Paul Stefani, has confirmed that Liverpool are keen on Defour.

"Steven's name has been mentioned not only at Real Madrid, but also at Liverpool - they are looking at him too," he told the Daily Mail.

"Normally he would stay for another year, but nobody could say no to clubs like those - and Liege would not stand in his way."

Only watched him with those CL Qualifiers/Against the blueshite, but he looked absolutely class.

I've heard he is a good player, not seen much of him in his home country but if he can perform on the same level as he did against them two teams on Merseyside, and do it consistently, then he is good enough for me.

No 'Dodgy' reference implied.

I would be fucking thrilled with Defour. After the blueshite signed Screech from Liege i thought they signed the wrong player.

I watched Liege's uefa cup run last season because i backed them to win it after their performances against us and he stood out in almost all the games.

As for aiden mc greedy,if he is good enough to play for liverpool,my cock is big enough to be a porn star.

He is excellent in the U21's too though mate but then that isn't a yardstick either given some of the shite that's played there. It's a case of wait and see but I'd rather give a top young English lad a chance then have a player who might not settle here and be half as good.

There you go making up shit again. He's that good for the U21's that he didn't play in the U21s tournament. He's played 20 minutes for the U21s. That must have been a mighty fine 20 minute performance for you to decide he was excellent!

Might have been U19 then. I have seen him play for England.

It's also been established that you've barely seen him yet think he'd be a perfect signing for us, just like we established with Veloso, and no doubt Defour.

It was only a week or so ago you were admitting to being sucked into the hype with Mourinho having not really paid much attention to him but seeing his name thrown about and believing the hype.

Can you remember which one of his 2 appearances (one as sub) it was?

Just put him on ignore. Suddenly everything goes quiet. It's nice.

Ha Ha, not quite. I refuse to get involved in this tit for tat pedantic point scoring. Its also a bit cuntish but then that sums up SpeedyG. I've said I've seen the lad play for England, the point stands.

I merely hold up the mirror.

But you used this blink and you miss it performance to declare that he is better than two of our players.

Ididn't say perfect, why are you bullshitting? I said as a replacement for Lucas. It was also a suggestion.

As for Mourinho, it wasn't hype really, he had achieved a shit load even by 2004. He is a top manager, I just didn't think he would be as defensive as he was in the PL. Again more bullshit.

That doesn't makes sense though Rash. You said at some point last season that you would sell Alonso and give Lucas/Speo a chance.

Now you want to get rid of Lucas and give some other unproven player a chance.

Then you moan about spending too much money on squad players.

Doesn't really add up does it?
