Something Fishy going on with Reina!!!

Jose Reina insists he has no intention of returning to Spain and is fully committed to ‘winning a big trophy’ with Liverpool this season.

Reina has cemented The Reds’ number one spot since arriving from Villarreal in 2005 with Rafa Benitez happy to let England international Scott Carson leave such is his confidence in his fellow countryman.

As with Benitez, there are persistent rumours that Reina could be lured back to La liga, but it seems that nothing could be further from the player’s mind.

"I won't consider returning to Spain," said Reina.

"I like Liverpool and it doesn't even enter my head to return already to Spanish football - and that goes for my family as well.

"I want to celebrate winning a big trophy with Liverpool this season and if we do I promise my team-mates I will cook them some excellent seafood in return!"

Reina was also in humble mood when asked about Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas, who has consistently kept him out of the Spain starting line-up, including when captaining them to Euro 2008 glory last month.

"We are of the same generation and that's bad luck for me but I do not feel eclipsed in the Spanish squad and I will keep training as hard as I always have," he added.

"Casillas and I are friends and he deserves all the praise he is getting - if you list the best goalkeepers in the world there is no doubt that Casillas is among them."

Funny he never offered that when Kewell was here. Probably would have cost him a years wages.
