I don't understand the reported interest in James Milner. Firstly, I don't think he is of the required standard but he also plays as a wide player and wingers are redundant in Rafa's 4-2-3-1 formation. We need someone who can play "wide" but also chip in with 10+ league goals a season and Milner probably hasn't scored 10 league goals in his entire career.!

14 since 2002.

Pennant has scored 9.

Both a bit shit on that front.

Depends i think on what Barry values the most, cash or playing in the Champions League.

If Barry hands in a transfer request then he will no doubt miss out on a transfer bonus etc but in all fairness he is hardly going to be signing for us on a minimum wage.

Rafa is operating on a tight budget and obviously has a limit to which he is prepared to pay.

They are quite similar but Barry is left footed, and he'll balance the side better, he's also more mobile no matter what anyone says.

Xabi's passing has been off for while. I think on the whole I'd prefer Barry +4 million.

Alonsos passing completion is around 80% and its been like this for the last couple of years, Barry has gone from around 56% three seasons ago to about 67% last season,(not sure about the numbers, but it should be almost right)

Great stuff.

You got a source for that?
