Who in your opinion is the best actor in the movie industry currently?

I have always liked Brad Pitt and enjoyed a lot of his movies.

 

Ed Norton is in 2 of my favourite films American History X and Fight Club.

 

Christian Bale is excellent too.

 

For me personally I'd have to say Brad Pitt.

Hoffman, Clooney and Whittaker are all great shouts, but I think Clooney is edged out by the fact his looks make him a little unbelievable for some roles. If I had to decide I'd go with Hoffman - as Mad said, his range is superb.

 

If anyone dare puts forward Cruise they're obviously still in the closet, or a Scientologist.

Christian Bale is very good. Mark Ruffalo isn't in too many good films, but is very watchable. Vigo Mortensen is good too.

Pitt and Norton are great shouts. Some old boys still around like Pacino, Hopkins are still great. Like Casey Affleck too.

Critically seymour hoffman gets rave reviews for every film he is in but im not a massive fan. Russell Crowe is a genuine superstar with massive charisma when he is on film plus i love his films.

I think his acting is under rated. Everyone talks about how good looking he is and how all the girls fancy him, but I think he's an awesome actor.
