The Good Shepherd 6/10 - A bit slow at times and a bit confusing with all the flashback stuff but a decent enough story. And Angelina Jolie doesn't do any scenes in a state of undress, so it loses a mark for that.

I've seen Amélie so many times I can watch it without subtitles now. I always stick it on when I'm feeling a bit miserable and then go out and try to do nice things for people. I call them "Amélie days".

 

The Cottage. 5/10.

 

7/10. I saw it last night. The storyline was boring but it was hysterically funny in parts, and it's worth the extra 2/10 for what happens to Jennifer Ellison.

I loved this film. Action packed melodrama with the most stunning costumes imaginable. I'd give it a 9 too.

Took my friend's little boy to see The Spiderwick Chronicles on Sat. I'd give it an 8.5/10 for anyone who has kids. Good enough script to keep adults entertained as well as kids (doesn't shy away from the kids receiving injuries at the hands of the monsters), although the goblins, troll and ogre may be a bit too frightening for smaller children.
