fuckinell mate. Nothing too serious I hope?

Well, hopefully not...they found some stuff not quite right with it about a year ago and it hasn't changed, so they're having me next week to check it out properly.

It's probably a direct result of some hard living!!! However, I have pretty much been off the sauce for a while now.

Hi Coats 4 Goalposts. Firstly I hope everything turns out okay and secondly I haven't actually had a liver biopsy, although I have had kidney biopsy. I expect they are pretty similar, though and in my experience if you can avoid having it done then I would. With mine i basically got stabbed in the kidneys, twice, with a f**k off long needle. After that - which is actually more uncomfortable than painful due to the local anaesthetic - I had to spend six hours lying on my back with the pain gradually become worse and worse as the local wore off. I also had to spend an extra night in hospital as a precaution as I was still pissing blood after this. The good news is that the next day I felt hardly any pain at all. Hope this doesn't put you off too much:-)

So, in short, it really fucking hurts.

Bet that's the news you were really wanting to hear, eh C4G?

Hope it checks out OK, Mark. I get a liver function test done every year as well. My tests came back fine but blood pressure was up, so my GP (A Columbian fella who told me Valderamma was a piss tank and blew it all- and the 'doctor' had never heard of the fine international Edwin Congo. Just wtf do they teach in school over there??)

Good luck.

Cheers NP!! Am going NHS, so will probably have to duck out Tuesday and Wednesday night and find a pub, to catch the football...I doubt I'll have satellite tv and private room!!

Nice one mate, hope you're feeling good!

Was Lewshouse description accurate then?

Cheers mate!! Am feeling better than I did immediate post-procedue (Not an operation, as only local anaesthetic)...pretty much back to normal today. It's Friday, second day of the test...a wise decision to have the day off, I reckon.

There was a sharp stabbing pain, and then that was it...I looked up afterwards and saw very long needle, covered in blood, which had just been inside me. Lovely. Results in a couple of weeks.
