Sporting v Benfica in the league tonight.

A Sporting win would put them 4 clear, with a game in hand, with 7 to play.

From looking at the table, it looks like their game in hand is v Famalico, who I’ve never heard of until 15 seconds ago and are mid-table, so you’d assume Sporting will win that as well.

Is he tall. I feel the guy has to be tall.

Honestly, I've been wondering this - the sheer size of Klopp is one of his assets.

In western cultures, like it or not, big people always have an advantage over smallies.

(I'm a smally and I'm telling myself this is the reason I've never got to the top.  For me, it's certainly more pertinent than my caustic personality, sallow social presence, poor dress dress and questionable personal hygiene.)

The ever-cunning Bielsa sat on a bucket, thus confusing the size-ists. Ruben could stand on one of those fold-out steps that you can buy from B&M. Or wear some vintage glam rock red-sparkle platform boots. I wouldn't worry about his height. The beard can go, though. Jurgen went full-Barthesian in his gradual move from dyed hair and designer stubble to anti-vanity greying chin-bush. Ruben's beard is just too bland. Oh dear, there is so much about which to worry!

If DavockKop says it's happening then who am I to argue with such overwhelming evidence? It would be futile to argue with an obvious font of reliable information.

Twitter wankers. Obvious rumours then make out like you have concrete evedicence.

"Xabi hopes to manage real Madrid when Ancelottis contract runs out"

"Harry Maguire confirms hats don't fit"

To be fair, there is concrete evidence for the latter.

Not a single one of the Twitter ITK nonces knew anything about Jurgen's departure, why should anyone believe that they know anything about his replacement?

They may just be looking in the right direction this time

Get the feeling he's on a hiding to nothing, it's tough enough that he has to follow (if it ends up being him) a hugely popular manager in Klopp but there also seems to be a slow drip of dis-information about him and his teams that has permeated the fan base and become 'fact' (despite it being easily disproved with a simple google search).

Since he was first linked we've had question's over his ability to speak English, that he's an overly defensive manager, that his teams don't press, that he has an aversion to youth players, his teams have an inability to defend set pieces.

Any success he's had is usually framed against the loss of talent/under performance of Porto/Benfica with very little acknowledgement for the amount of talent Sporting have also lost (at least two of which were wanted by our own fans) or the relative position he took them over compared to the two larger clubs and the ground he's had to make up.

Often these statements are devoid of any context/comparison and sometimes deliberately misleading and while the vast majority who regurgitate them aren't doing it through malice they have to be originating from somewhere.
